Re: SCSW Corrections thread (closed thread)
Lee
I was just going through the corrections and I noticed that my copy of the 3d Edition has some of these already fixed and others that are not. Did later printings of the 3d Edition incorporate some of these changes?
So, for example, I don't know if the photos on page 26 are reversed or not.
Help, please!
Jack

The two pair of target stocks w/o thumb rests should be in the top photo. Check to see if you may have a 2nd printing of the 3rd edition.

Thanks, Jim
I can't see anything on the copyright page that indicates second printing. That was what I thought originally, but there doesn't seem to be any indication of it. However, lots of the alleged typos don't seem to be present in my copy. And I think the photo you mentioned has thumbrests on all three stocks in the lower photo - maybe one on the far right in the upper photo. The left-most stock panel in the upper photo looks like a Roper to me, but it is labeled Griffin & Howe.
I'm lost . . .

On the copyright page there is a string of descending numbers such as 23 22 21 20 etc. The last number in this sequence indicates which printing the particular book is, so if it is 1 it would be first printing, if it is 3 it is third printing, etc.
(Note: I was able to post to the "closed" thread.)

Yes. We cannot post to the closed thread, which is why I created this one.
On the copyright page, I find the Library of Congress number and two ISBNs - 13 digit and 10 digit. I find no string of printing numbers such as you described. I know what you are talking about, but it doesn't seem to be on my copy.
Thanks for the assistance.
