S&W m&p 5'' barrel 1905 38special
Is the S&W military & police 38 special 1905 with a 5" barrel rare??
Are the samething in a colt rare too with the 5" barrel (1931) ?
I'd like to keep my collection of prewar S&W and Colts as equal as i can.
I'm also into the H&R and H&A revolvers too but in 22cal for now.

5" was very popular into the 1950's. I suppose U.S. Victory Models in WWII influenced the shift more toward 4". In the 20's and 30's 5" was very popular. The great majority of the WWII British Service Revolvers well over half a million were 5".
