Photos of my Post WWII M&P. Spoke about it in a previous post, and couldn't figure out the picture posting part of the equation. Everything matches, 5" bbl, Shipping date is around 1946.
Don't know if this was mentioned before, but this one is called a "Transitional model" by collectors, because it has the large ejector rod end and the one-line stamping on the right frame (Made in U.S.A.) These features were present on pre-war (and wartime Victory Model) revolvers, but went away not long after 1946. Nice example.
