Commercial Model 1917s are not rare, but uncommon, as compared to the military model. (Unless they are a factory Target version ). Condition is the key to value, in most cases, unless the gun has some verifiable heritage to a known character or user. At 70% it's a shooter in most collector's view and $550 is in the ball park. Further research as to whether a law enforcement unit owned the gun, etc. could add to the value. Ed.
