HEAVY DUTY TRIFECTA DURING TULSA GUN SHOW WEEK
GOING INTO THE TULSA GUNSHOW, I HAD 2 DEALS TO FINISH. ADDITIONALLY, THE THURSDAY OF TULSA, I WON AN AUCTION FOR ANOTHER PRE WAR HD. SO WITH THE HELP OF LARRY AND BOYD AND THE AUCTION, I WAS GOING TO HAVE 3 PRE WAR HDS ADDED TO MY COLLECTION. 2 OF THEM, I WAS TO FIND OUT, WERE IN THE SAME SHIPMENT TO THE SAME POLICE DEPARTMENT. NOW TO TOP IT OFF, I WAS TRADING A PRE WAR HD FROM THE SAME DEPARTMENT TO GET A GUN THAT WILL BE SPECIAL IN MY COLLECTION. SO I HAD 3 OF THESE GUNS AT ONE TIME AND ENDED UP WITH 2 OF THEM. SO, WITHOUT DUE, HERE IS A PIC OF ALL THREE GUNS.
THE GUNS ON THE FLANKS WITH HBH ARE SANDUSKY OHIO POLICE DEPARTMENT HDS THAT WERE SHIPPED 5 APRIL 1940. THE HD IN THE MIDDLE WAS SHIPPED TO WOLF & KLAR 14 FEB 1939. NOW I WILL POST SOME INDIVIDUAL PICS OF EACH GUN FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT. HD SERIAL NUMBER 60768 WAS SHIPPED WITH A 4 INCH BARREL, HUMPBACK HAMMER AND MAGNA GRIPS. THERE WERE 16 GUNS IN THE SHIPMENT.
THE NEXT SANDUSKY PD GUN IS 60774. HERE ARE THE PICS OF THIS GEM!
LAST BUT NOT LEAST, HEAVY DUTY 58115 WAS SHIPPED TO WOLF & KLAR WITH A 4 INCH BARREL, BLUE FINISH AND MAGNA GRIPS. IT IS CONSECUTIVE WITH MY 4 INCH NICKEL PRE WAR HEAVY DUTY 58114! HERE ARE THE PICS OF 58115:
I HOPE YOU ENJOY THEM-I HAVE!
BILL

Nice guns, Bill.
(But adding those wore out old HD's at that rate means you will have to add another display table at the next show!)

Absolutely stunning revolvers - and the STOCKS!
The Sandusky PD had some well-armed patrolmen it would appear.
Thank you for sharing with us.

WOW, the condition of those might indicate they weren't carried by foot patrolmen in Ohio winter weather.

Probably a silly question, but do the stocks number to the revolvers?

Thanks for the great pics and congrats on the additions to the collection. Dang, from what I can gather I am going to miss some great displays at the SWCA show in June.

Congratulations Bill, and well done! 4" barrels on pre-war HD's are scarce to begin with. The added bonus of pre-war magnas and humpback hammers make ths a real treat! Thanks for sharing.

A10-58115 has matching grips. The other two have earlier serial number magnas and one pair with no serial number.
For H Richard, here is a picture of the Sandusky PD who carried these HDs:
Notice the uniformed officers and detectives.
Thanks to all on your comments. I hope all of you will come to Kansas City for the annual meeting where I will have a lot of new additions to my display. I like all HDs, but I really like the 4 Inch Pre War with HBH and Magnas! Thanks again,
Bill

Wow - that is an impressive "Hat Trick"
Bill, very impressive "hat trick" of pre-war HDs. That pre-war bluing is stunning!
