Default The pretty much official end of the "NEW" Merwin Hulbert Company...

A British company, Broadsword Group, bought out parts of another arms company that included Sharps that included the "New Merwih Hulbert Company" that has been looking for money for the last several years.

Broadsword has decided they will NOT make any revolvers, and is sending letters to those who put down payments on revolvers that were never made. They say they WILL refund that money, and they are seeking a buyer for the Merwin Humbert name, preferably a company that already is making old style handguns...here's their press release:

Welcome to Broadsword Group

The story seems to finally have ended.

This new reserruction of Merwin Hulbert, Sharps Rifle Company, et al has nothing to do with Shiloh Sharps (Big Timber, Montana). Apparently, the original strategy was to capitalize on the "Sharps" name. As stated, there is absolutely no connection to the two companies located in Big Timber - Shiloh Sharps or C. Sharps.
