Default King's Heavy Duty 38/44 with Ivory

Took these for a fellow forum member....just could not resist posting a few. What do you think? Do the stocks match the gun? Or, do I need to have RKmesa send me a fancier gun for this pair of stocks

I did a few with overhead lighting, and a few without. Maybe one day I will get better with gun pics

Richard has so many scratched up guns he wouldn’t miss a half dozen.

That gun is screaming for a set of stags. Especially some old yellowed ones.

Maybe send the stocks to KB and have him put the double ribbon Roper pattern on them. Then put them back on your King HD 38/44.

Scott, that gun is plenty fancy for those grips. Beautiful set up. Jim

I think you need an engraved revolver with those stocks. BUT, I am not a big fan of target stocks, ivory or wood.

So many things that are cool about that gun... One that I love are the King modifications. I hope that in all your photo taking that you can share a few of the top strap with the added rear sight. The Ivory is stunning, and that set would add to the beauty of any target S&W! I do have to say that finding the perfect gun for a nice set of ivories is not always an easy thing, it takes a bit of musical grips in my experience to find the right mate.

I like Terry's suggestion that those grips spend some time with KB to get a "Roper Upgrade". I did something similar with the set I passed around in show-n-tell when we were at the Tulsa Symposium about a year ago:

Looking forward to seeing a few more photos.
