Wink

Is it going to a bidder with history or a new one?

I wonder how often money actually changes hands on some GB auctions.

But a coupla' determined bidders with more money than brains can send an auction to the moon!

(they just never show up when I put something on there!)

The 3.5 inch Model 27 has been a darling with the S&W revolver crowd for quite a while now and a Pre 27 3.5 is the one of the most desired so I can see it selling for a lot even though I wouldn't pay that. All it takes is two people with deep pockets who really want the same gun and prices can get crazy in a hurry on GB.

jjbrewst1 I was watching that auction and I kept asking myself. What am I missing, that a reblued pre 27 would sell for that kind of money, and the side plate looks like a different shade of blue. I'm not good with posting links but the auction number was: 36878006

Im also a bit confused on that one....
One of our well informed members chased it up to $1500 and he buys and sells alot of N frames (FFL) but the sideplate looks replaced, serial is 54/55 S110000 range chipped Magnas....
I could see if it was a very early one or in mint condition but I must be missing something .

Maybe there is some info we dont know...Maybe it had the Gold box, Tools, Paperwork...I saw a Jinks letter in the background...I did not see he said anywhere if it had the box or not...Maybe some info bidders got from an email to the seller...

I just know that 1800 is way high....for a reblue..IMHO

The seller was very reputable which helped I'm sure. He buys and sells a lot of stuff on GB too. Remember when Chuck (29-1) sold off his collection of 12 (1 for every month) of first year 44 Magnums? This guy ( the seller, Diamond1210) bought them....
