Another couple of (Old) unknown pairs of stocks
I have identified most of the stocks that I recently picked up at a local shop. I've had some good surprises, as well as bad, but I am way ahead in terms of what I paid and what I have already identified.
These are the last two sets. The first is all checkered and in nice shape, and the second is well worn, checkered with a diamond center. I believe the second pair to be old S&W stocks, but I don't know about the first. They both have penciled numbers inside the right panel, but it is hard to make out.

Ash - I'd guess the bottom pair were originally for a sq. butt revolver (modified to fit rd butt frame).
Agree with MG on spanish copy for top

Top pair used to occur a lot on UK S&W 'M&P's or 'Victory Models' which 'converted' to .38 Special and were re-sold by retailers in England, after WWII.
I have never seen these Stocks on any Spanish copies, though once in a while they do turn up on a regular S & W K-Frame which had not been to England.
I think too, at some point, a lot of these Stocks got dumped as 'NOS' into the US, and, many turn up appearing to be un-used and never mounted.
Bottom ones do look to me like someone re-shaped a 1920s non-Medallion Square Butt pair, to fit a round Butt...and did so quite a long time ago, too.

Agree - the square butt K frame matches the staining pattern on the stocks. The round butt has an extra curve around the spring screw.
