Default Range report on a K Masterpiece trio.

Well it was to nasty to work today so that gave me an excuse to go shoot a trio of K frames. Excuse the dirty guns in the pictures, headed out to clean.

I started out with my Pre-War K22 Masterpiece 2nd Model. I have had it for a few months and haven't taken to the range until today and what a treat it was with that crisp trigger.

Then I went to the K32. A couple members here sent me some brass so I could reload for this one and it really liked the Accurate #5 with Hornady 85 grain jhp. Wow what a joy to shoot and very accurate, better than me. Now I know.

Then to the K38. I reloaded 50 rounds with Berry's Plated 148 grain double ended wad cutter over Unique. At this point there was a waiting line at the range and after I shot the first cylinder I said, "Great target to quit on!"

The only thing better than buying all three of the K-targets is shooting all three of the K-targets! Ya done good, Mitch.

Good job Mitch.

I'm going Thursday if all works out like it is supposed to. I won't be taking my 17, but I am taking the K-32 and the 14-1.

I haven't been able to shoot for quite a while due to a variety of reasons, so I'm looking forwards to getting back into the swing of things, and to trying these two out as they are both unfired by me as yet.

I will have to cheat if I want to shoot as good as Mitch, so I'll use my paper punch on the targets before I hang 'em up on the firing line. Them ol' boys I shoot with still haven't figured out what I'm doin' yet.

Ok now I have to take my K-32 to the range Friday. I always take a K-22, lately I have been taking my new to me 617-6 4" but maybe I will take the 17 on Friday. If there is a nicer target gun to shoot than a K-32 I haven't shot it.

What a nice way to relax and spend time with 3 good friends. That 38 shoots great, maybe you calmed down by the time you shot it. The 32 is fun and puts a good feeling in you as it's being shot. Looks like you had fun, Larry

I finally got to take my 14-1 and the K-32 to the range today. Not my best work with the 32, but not bad for the first load tried in it. I don't like the Lee dies I bought for the 32, but they were all I could locate anywhere. I much prefer to have a good roll crimp in a set of RCBS dies compared to the taper crimp in the Lee seater die.

The shooting was done at 50' from offhand. The area inside the center circle on the white target is 1.5" for referrence-

K-32

Like a dummy I stapled a new target over the one from the 14-1 with multiple groups, and shot it with another gun and shot more groups, which ruined the groups from the 14-1, so I shot this one alone on an old target I had with me, but it is representative of what I was doing with it with this particular load.

14-1
