Yep. That's basically a good as guns ever get right there. My jealousy is boundless.
King Super Targets are the bees knees. I have 2 now and that in no way dampens my desire for them.
Just shot this one for the first time yesterday:
It may not have a cockeyed hammer but I think King did re-cut the checkering on the hammer because it's a lot deeper and grippier. This gun is so incredible, my other K frame .38 targets are going to go away I think.
Then there is my other one, I don't think I need to say much about it. Everything you might suspect about this gun is true:

Very nice!

I have one that I like to show too! I no longer have a pair of Ropers for it (sold them). The factory letter has its ship date at January 17, 1931 so it is a very, very early one.

Haven't been lucky enough to find a S&W Super Target that I could afford, and missed out on the one King sighted Smith that I was going to buy as I waited too long and another member recently picked it up off gunbroker. But I am fortunate enough to own a Colt Super Target, as well a Colt 22lr with King sights and skeleton cockeyed hammer - both with Ropers. The Micro sighted, Sanderson stocked Colt is another of my favorite old target guns.

Beautiful guns - please keep them coming
Sorry to those of you who have to endure seeing this again, but here is my Outdoorsman (displayed many times before - 'cause it is one of my favorites and I never tire of looking at it) with the full King treatment. I purchased the above 38 M&P to keep it company:
All the best and Happy New Year!!

You!
You made me do this thing that has destroyed my wallet. That picture right there pushed me over the edge and forced me to get into King Super Targets.
Thanks a lot!

It's a shame all of those guns have had their collector value ruined by being altered from original. I feel so sorry for you in fact, that I'll take them off your hands. I'm sure you will be relieved to know that I'll give you $100 apiece plus shipping for those altered guns so you will no longer have to hang your heads in shame. No, don't try to thank me, I'm just trying to help out where I can as part of my New Year's Resolution.

All I can say is WOW!
That certainly is a beautiful gun, and the Ropers put it over the top.
Richard, I hope 2014 is full of many other acquisitions for you like that one!!

Hi
Well here is one of my King Super Targets she is not pretty but it is a rare Caliber. It is a Triple lock in 44/40 Caliber. I only know of one other in 44/40
It is own by a forum member. this one was shipped in 1910.

Dark Side KST
Target of opportunity dark side sub for the K-32 I can't afford. Pre war Colt OMHBT King Super Target in .32 with the full treatment--rib, sights, hammer, trigger shoe, and Ropers (my ONLY KST). This just in--finally corralled a box of pre war .32 Colt New Police Ammo--not the Western I've been looking for, but not a bad sub.

Yours appears to be what is known as a King "double cockeye" hammer. I believe that it was the inspiration for S&W's combat/target hammers. Nice gun!

Old Seabee
Very Nice Revolver but I have a question!
I notice an additional main spring or something on top of the main spring, sorry to be so dense but what is it? Also a "King" upgrade treatment? Thanks.

Double main spring
Me too. I wonder why this double spring. Old post, I know...
And in post #2: are the grips Sanderson, I'm right? Very nice series of pictures, I see the best of the best in my opinion.
