I didn't try to define what your question means. Here are the first things that popped in my head when I read your post.

The pinto Model 50 I saw in a shop in Biloxi, Mississippi, in November 1974.

A blue Chiefs Special Target (or Model 36 Target or Model 50) would be a second choice.

I think my 27-2 5" is pretty sought after. I think any S serial N frame is pretty desirable.

Falls between my J frames and L frame Model 69.

I've looked for and finally found a sought after Model 547 once made aware of it's existence here on this forum.

Chambered in 9mm but without the need for moon clips the 3" heavy barrel just balances so well it's like pointing my finger.

I bought it as a 70th birthday present to myself and treasure it above any gun in my 3rd Gen semi-auto collection.

For me it's a carry gun and a shooter, no safe queen for this 547!

I would guess that to begin with, any revolver that is pre-lock.
I also would hazard a guess any revolver if used that is in excellent shape with a low round count and is in a snubby configuration.

I would love to find, but couldn't afford, a really nice M31 and/or 30.

How about a Beckeart (sp?) model actually shipped to him. And Model 39s with steel fames are pretty rare too.

CS-1 in 3" barrel or 4" barrel; 3" more desirable. M66 with 3" barrel. Model 547 (9mm) in 3" barrel or 4" barrel; 3" more desirable.
