Default Pre war 44spl

Long time no posts gents, good to be back! Guys what do yall think a fair value would be on my 1926 3rd model? It does have proper N markings in yoke and on grip frame. Serial number range is 49xxx,it came to me with some nice steer heads. Finish is good with a few spots here and there but nothing major. Action and bore are perfect. All the numbers match.

Condition and mechanics is everything on the value of these pre-war guns.

If you are wanting to sell it, there will be a lot of folks interested around here (me included).

I would say that I have seen examples similar to yours around 12-1500, maybe more if you find the right buyer.

I would need to see more detailed photos before I could estimate what I would pay if I were in the market, which I am not as of today.

Is the nickel the original factory nickel? Are the grips the true W&K type and not reproductions? I know SAfireman above is looking for one. You can add me to the list.

It looks like you have a nice gun. Take the grips off and look on the inside of them. If there are Roman numerals marked on the inside, the grips should be original Wolf and Klar grips. If the grips are Wolf and Klar and the gun was shipped to Wolf and Klar it makes for a very desirable package.

Sounds like Wolf and Klar grips then. There is a real good chance your gun shipped to them also, but only a factory letter will confirm that. The biggest consideration now as far as value is the condition of the gun. We will look forward to more definitive pictures.

If the gun is original finish and is in 95-98% condition. I think your looking at 2000.00- 2,500.00.

Some folks have said that selling stocks and a gun like this separately is worth a good tongue lashing, but...

Nice sixgun. I'd hate to see them split up, too.
