Roy did just have surgery so I would expect a delay.
Good luck on the letter or letters

I noticed Roy just today started answering Inq. on the Collector Assn. side, so it may be at least another 8 weeks.

Sorry to hear he's been ailing. Hope he's feeling better.
Yes, awaiting a letter. Been maybe 4-5 years since I requested one so out of the habit.

Why? What's special about a pencil barreled M&P that's worth $50 to see who got it? ( Or does it have something different or unusual about it? does it say "presented to Huey Long by his fellow politicians " on it ? ) Ed.

I find the term "pencil barrel" almost as detestable as Saxon Pig. . . .
Happy Valentines Day, though!

Pre 27 with a 6.5" barrel. Curious about originality of RR & WO sights and also where it was shipped. I bought it from a seller in Chicago. Thought they couldn't own handguns, there.

Thanks for this thread, it inspired me to bite the bullet and just send off 4 letters.
It kind of hurts to spend $600 in letters but with 12 guns, at least one of them has to come back as something really neat, in June.

The wait for letters was running about 16 weeks before Roy went into the hospital, and he was away for about a month, so I would expect that it will be around 5 months now.

Is this still a one man operation? There really needs to be some help with this. $50 to wait 4-5 months is not a good thing.

IIRC, Mr Jinks owns the records that he researches.

That's what I have heard. A couple of starving college students working for $10 an hour could take a load off his shoulders and get things out faster. I think it would make the operation more efficient and more profitable, not less.
