I bet that he means are pre model marked, 5 screw examples more valuable compared to numbered models with fewer (3 or 4) screws in all cases?

That's broad comparison. You are better off to learn the details than to make too much of general trends because the exceptions are so numerous IMHO.

But to answer your question directly, no, there are exceptions to that trend. Some n frames were getting less popular over those years and so occur in smaller number post 1957. They are more collectable as model marked examples. There's probably other examples that I don't know.

Welcome to the Forum. 4 screws vs. 5 screws, etc It's all a matter of opinion. Generally the idea of "worth" relates to condition and rarity, rather that a screw count. Actually the first "screw count" guns, circa 1899, were 4 screw guns, and they have become harder to find than the millions more 5 screw guns made later. You pays your money and takes your choice, in my opinion. Ed.

I assume you mean 4 screw -1 29. Other -1's, while scarce compared to -2 etc guns, are more common.
