Default Transitional HD

I was lucky to pick up a nice transitional HD tonight. It is very clean, it has especially nice case colors and very lustrous matching grips. This is my first 4" HD, the balance is great.

S 66431 (no cracks about my PJs)

Great looking HD! You did well. Looks like brand new!
Congrats! Probably July 1946 ship date.
Bill

Nice score beagleye! Fantastic condition, colors, and matching stocks to boot. Well done. July 1946 was a super-busy month for S&W shipping department. I have S63xxx and S65xxx serials, both 1946, both 5". Not as pretty as yours, though. Enjoy!

Congratulations on your new Transition HD.
I agree with Bill, it does appear in new condition.

I'm sure I speak for several here when I say it would be nice to see additional photos of the whole gun.

And I like your PJ's...

It's always difficult to get exact about shipping date based only upon the SN. But my list shows several with nearby SNs which shipped in mid-1946.

Most 4" up to S67000 were shipped in July 1946.

Yes, maroon box! I am going to keep an eye out but I am also starting to have a creeping itch for a 6.5" HD.
