Default K-22 Outdoorsman... ish?

Grips, barrel flat, & frame serial numbers match. The cylinder does not although the number is close. Short stroke hammer & single screw rear sight all match for the serial number date range of a first model... But the front sight on this Outdoorsman isn't correct, is it? What's up with this gun?

My guess is that someone replaced the front sight for smoother removal from holster, pocket, etc. OR, is it worth the chance on a letter?

It looks OK as a K-22 Target from ca. 1933-34. Regarding the front sight, I'd agree it's probably just a replacement blade. Too bad about the non-matching cylinder.

With the cylinder s/n only one digit off wasn't it an assembly error or stamping error!

Hi, I just bought this same revolver. When did you sell it? Can you give me any info on it. It made its way to Maine. Thanks.
