Default Model 1917

Is there anyway to date a Model 1917 or is it just somewhere between 1917-1919?

A factory letter will tell you what date it was shipped to the Springfield Armory, or, if your lucky, to a distributor.

Thanks, I was trying to discover if there was a middle ground between paying for a factory letter and the information in the Standard Catalog.

Your 1917 was made in November 1918.
