Finally... A Narrow-Ribbed K-32 Masterpiece (and the Trio)
After a couple of years of looking for the perfect K-32 to add to my collection, and lots of leads from helpful forum members, I finally was able to bring one home. K68492 was shipped in March 1949 and currently sports a Micro cockeyed hammer. And here she is...
And now the narrow ribbed Masterpiece Trio (K-22, K-32 and K-38):
I'd love to see photos of your Masterpiece trio's as well...
Thanks for letting me share,

Very nice Richard! I am working on a narrow rib trio myself. The one I need should be easy, the K-38, but I haven't yet found it. I didn't think it would be this challenging. Nice LERK on your K-38!

It's official, I hate you!! Not only was I born a couple of months after that gun was shipped, but I have narrow rib K-38 and K-22 examples waiting for a sibling. Don't tell me you found it in an old man's attic and bought it for $50 or something like that... I think I would break out in tears!

Richard.
Congrats. I'm glad you found it. Too Bad the WI K32 didn't work out. It was a beauty as well.
I did find out it ended up in the hands of another SWCA forum member from WI, so that was neat.

No need to break out in tears... I wish I could of purchased the K-32 for $50, but alas I had to resort to GB and I paid what I thought was a fair, but "market" price for one in this condition with the box (in the $2,700 range by the time I got it home). It came with ill-fitting later period diamond magnas. But, I just happened to have a set of high shoulder magnas in my "woodpile" that are stamped in the 68XXX range. They fit the gun very nicely.
The K-32 also had a trigger shoe on it when I bought it that was quickly removed and added to my bag of a dozen or so trigger shoes. The Micro cockeyed hammer, a pleasant surprise for me when I opened the packaging, was not readily apparent in the seller's photos and is something that I consider a bonus.

I just went back and looked and you are absolutely correct!!! I must have been more interested in the photos that in the text - I completely missed that... I better pay closer attention on my future purchases.

Congratulations!!!
Kudos to you sir, for having captured the most elusive of the trio! I know from experience how difficult it can be to accomplish this feat, and the willingness to devote the effort it requires. I even went so far as to acquire an extra K-32 box (only) when I had the chance, just in case I ever find another one (fat chance, I know) - I think the number is somewhere near yours, I'll have to check.
Here's a pic with my set - and their grandchildren

Richard, I just filled the last spot of my trio. Guess I need to find a box for the K38.

Well, since you asked...
I posted this a while ago, but I still have them all.
K-22 in front, K-38 in back, K-32 in between. This is a mixed set because I had only a wide-rib K-38 at the time I took this picture. Since then I have picked up other Masterpieces that would allow me to pose a separate narrow-rib troika, though a second threesome wasn't the point of the acquisitions. Someday when I have the camera out I need to stage the new guys for a for a fashion shoot.
Richard, congratulations! Nice score. And my congratulations too to anyone else who has managed to put together a Masterpiece threesome. If I hadn't had some unforeseen and extremely good luck along the way, I'd still be looking to complete my first set.

Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to attend this year's symposium due to family conflicts.
Hopefully next year...
