Let's see those Postwar-Transitional 1917's!
I am recently intrigued by these guns. I just last week found one on GB and was the "only" one that even made a bid. I didn't meet the reserve at 1200 and it ended. So, since I can't have one of my own, I'd love to see yours.
I know some of you guys out there have one.
How many were made? Lanyard ring or no? S in the serial number?
Thanks, Roger

I've sometimes been scurrilously accused of being "untimely" with response posts! I highly resemble that remark!
BMG60, your '17 amazing as all your guns I've had the pleasure of viewing! About like a time warp!
Submitting here, my Postwar Model 1917 in serial range as BMG50s above. But I'll see his several digit SN 'reveal' and raise to the tens digit. Mine, 20995x. No "S" prefix & lanyard ring (hole). And yes, I know the grips are incorrect. Planning to do something about that... for the last decade or so!
Found my gun up in Washington State in the eighties. No idea at the time anything other than a very clean Model 1917!
Very interesting guns, these. Hope to see more of them, but no breath holding!
My take
