Steve is quite a craftsman and we are very lucky to have him. I'm waiting on a set of Roper style stocks for a PW Outdoorsman. Seeing these pictures is getting me even more excited to get them!

Bill, you no doubt saw the Roper style pattern magnas he did for my 27, and the set he made for my transitional HD.
That piece of wood he used for yours ( and Dave Keiths') is magical.

Those are all very nice. He is finishing up a pair for me right now. If I keep buying grips and leather at the current rate,I'll never save up enough for another gun!

Even though the custom grips shown on Dave's 6 shooter looked great on my RM. I wanted the real deal. So I did a little horse trading with the leather Master . I traded Dave my pair of custom Magna's for this holster. Then purchased a original unnumbered pair of stocks from Jim Brewster. Thanks Dave and Jim. Now the rig is complete. DSCN0587.jpg

Good grief! Here I am all excited that my ivories finally arrived for my Model 19-3 snubby today. I take pics. I post pics. (You can see them here: New ivory for the Combat Magnum)
Then what happens?
First, somebody posts pictures of the sweetest Ropers I've ever seen on an I frame .32.
Then this thread shows up. Those stocks are absolutely beautiful, reflecting amazing craftsmanship of the highest order.
I think I'm going to keep my paltry new acquisitions to myself from now on.

Can do. The bottom set are some pre-war originals that I picked up at the Tulsa gun show a while back (shown in this thread: http://smith-wessonforum.com/s-w-han...ese-grips.html ). The top ones are made by schofieldkid81. I have three more sets on order, another N and two for K frames. I'm going to have him make them without medallions - they are nice, but aren't necessary to me and add to the cost.
