K-22/40 is finally home
Accidently posted this in the S&W Revolvers: 1961 to 1980 forum and since it turned into a waiting period thread, I moved it to the proper forum. Hope that's OK. Happy Father's Day dads!
After a couple of financial and logistical obstacles I was able to procure k-22/40 # 6843XX. Looks better than the 60% that was claimed and everything match's, although the magna's are not numbered which I'm told is not unusual. Since I won't be able to take good pix 'til I bring her home in about a week, hope you all won't mind seeing some crummy phone pictures.
edit 6/25/14....... AFTER PICTURES IN POST #4

If that finish is 60%, I must have some 120% guns in my safe. Anyway, that is one nice revolver. Congratulations.

She's now home and after some cleaning and waxing I think she looks a little nicer than the claimed 60-70%.

You must be waxing with blue shoe polish if that gun was 60% before!
That's a nice one!

I haven't given up looking for one of these in a condition I can afford (which would probably be somewhere about 60%), but I have just about given up hope. Too much money. Too many buyers way better educated in what it takes to chase one down.
That's a very pretty one and you did very well finding it.

That's a great specimen of a hard-to-find model. Congratulations!

Don't give up hardscrabble! Although I don't think I've seen a picture of a less than 80% example, there has to be some since there was a little over 1,000 made.
Found this one in what I'll call a "dead thread" in a local forum after doing a search for "K-22". It was advertised as a 60% k-22 with a rather high sale price and no pictures, so it was easily overlooked. After some negotiating and logistical work, I was finally able to secure it.
