1931 K22 Outdoorsman
I took possession of this 1931 K22 outdoorsman today. I had posted earlier in the week inquiring about this - thanks for the suggestions guys I'm sure glad I picked this up.. I'm wondering if you guys can tell me if the gun (sights/any other details) look "correct"? No numbers stamped in the grips, and no evidence of pencil markings. This gun is very nice and I always drool over the fit/finish of the early guns. They are second to NONE. The bluing on this gun is simply awesome.
I'm proud to own this one, very very few flaws with this gun. Going to put some down the tube this weekend - I cant wait to shoot this thing!

Very Nice!!! Is this the one with the extra barrel that had some link to an Olympic shooter? That looks to have the silver Call bead front sight, rather than the gold one (but maybe it is just the lighting on the photo).
Congrats on that beauty!

Yes sir, that's the one. I sent in for a letter today. Who knows what it'll tell, may be interesting! Based on the story (being owned by an olympic shooter), I'm wondering if the gun has been shot alot? What does that ejector rod tell you experts? Does it look to be well used?
I also looked at the extra numbers matching barrel included with the sale, I see nothing wrong with it at all. I'm going to take it to a gunsmith to have it fully checked out.

Beautiful revolver!
There is something special about Outdoorsman's, they sure don't make them like that anymore. Congrats!

She sure is purdy and being the first K-22 version makes it a great cornerstone to start a K22 collection !

+100 on that.
That K22's is in beautiful condition. Have fun at the range.
And have fun finding more. Because they're like 'tater chips.
You know...you can't have just one.

Per Roy Jinks in the SWCA section of this site: K-22 OD serial number 638399 was shipped from the factory in January 1938. Is it possible that this was made earlier? I was thinking this was from 1931 based on the s/n... Could it have shipped that much later?? Guess the letter will tell for sure!

I agree with you, the fit and finish is a joy to behold. Please relate your shooting adventure with this fine revolver.
