I would certainly enjoy seeing some early .44 specials, doubly so if they have fixed sights. Any and all welcome

A couple of more recent .44 Specials:

.44 HE Second Model #20612:

She's a bit challenged in the finish, but like new in the mechanics, including the bore and chambers. Dates to the 1922 to 1927 period. (Lord! My lights make this one look a lot worse than in hand!)

Model 1950 Target #S145147:

She shipped April 1955.

No wonder I've never been able to find a nice 3rd Model. All are hoarded up.

Beautiful group of revolvers. Thanks for showing them.

Nine .44 Specials ranging from a Target Triple lock #902 (1908) to a M-23-3, 4" (1984).
I'm partial to 2cd Models but all 44s are getting scarce to acquire.

This is my favorite .44 S&W Special shooter, a 1926 model transition shipped to Houston in 1946. I can't explain why, I just like it for what it is.

Whew, Thanks Honda44, now I feel can post the few I have since one or two are single actions.
The first is an Andy Horvath model 28 conversion that lives with another member now.

This one is an old model flat top that John Gallagher converted to 44 Special.

Sad old Triple Lock. Original stocks are in the safe someplace.
What the heck, it was only $75.00.

Hi
Here are two pairs of consecutive serial numbers these are the hardest to find in consecutive numbers as that were not that many made in nickel in 6 1/2 and the 4 inch
was also scarce in Nickel.

This 2nd Model H.E. is from late forum member Sandy Jacobs, IBSandy, that he purchased through this forum. It letters to shipping Feb. 25, 1925. Went back twice to the factory-once in Nov. '25 (no reason given) and again March '57 for a refinish of the original nickel. I'm the temporary custodian of it, unfortunately the letter appears to have been lost during his widow's moves but I have a photo of it I took. I know Sandy shot it, very sparingly, and two of the cylinders are slightly out of time but it's darn cool in my view.

No cringing here S&W Fan,I shoot my 4" 3rd Model all the time.In my Eyes it is the perfect Holster carry Gun.I load 240gr plated bullets over 6.6gr of Unique for a nice mid range load. After all these Years it shoots to POA and still looks good doing it.

Model of 1950 .44 Spl.:

Custom .44 Spl. I built, using a Model 624 and adding a Model 29 Barrel I fitted to the frame/cylinder. Had the barrel restamped to .44 Spl. and then hard chromed.
