THAT's the WAY to jump into Baby Chief collecting- a nickel AND a three inch.
Most folks will never get a shot at EITHER!
Good for you!

Quite a nice set! I just sold a nickel baby chief that was pretty nice, but no matching box. Nickel guns just don't tickle my fancy.
I'd sure buy that 3" you've got though!

An outstanding pair. I don't believe I have seen a 3" Baby Chief before, they must be very scarce.

Very nice pair!!! I have not seen many 3 inchers with round butt. Did you get the 3" for the price on the end of box? My 3" 36 is from 1957, has square butt, and matching blue box. Enjoy them! Are they going to be shooters, or setters? Bob

Hi Jim -
Serial Numbers:
Nickel 2" - 37401
Blue 3" - 42829
Are the boxes correct? I assume we don't have a handle on exactly how many of each were made?

I am once again jealous of some great handguns, not in my collection.

Without the serial #'s I can not tell if the boxes are correct, however they are in very nice collectible condition and if they are correct are a great asset to the beautiful guns. I've always been interested in knowing EXACTLY WHEN Smith actually ran out of the Red boxes........
I have a couple of Baby's from 1951 - 1952 with the Red's.

Outstanding! Gorgeous revolvers. I'd love to "run into" something like that.
