Default Triple lock stocks

A nice set sold on fleabay for $210, item # 161449337012, advertised as "S&W Python grips, New". The seller had no idea what he was selling, so I bet he was well pleased with the selling price. Wonder what they would have brought if they had been properly described?

Not necessarily TL stocks, more like std. pre-war N Frame Service Stocks with large Medallions.
I didn't realize that the value had gone up that much on them. I have a set around here somewhere I've been saving in case I pick up another pre-war N frame in need of correct stocks. As I recall they're not as nice as the ones on eBay, but I may have to rethink the value....

If a Colt collector bought them, they will probably be back on Ebay soon, as they are a tough fit for a Python! Ed.

uhhhhh.........
What other N frame existed pre-war besides the TL?
True, they were on 2nd Mod 455s and 44s, but the 2nd Mods did not exist before Aug, 1914 when WW I broke out.
Since they have a 4 digit number below 4000, they are almost surely TL grips.

Sorry. I was referring to pre-WW2. (And I didn't notice the serial number.)
