Default Help identifying .32 hand ejector

My papaw recently gave me a .32 hand ejector snub nose he acquired many years ago when he owned a bar. There is no model number that I can find. The serial is 624xxx. If anyone could tell me the model (or name, as I understand model numbers weren't given until the late 50's) and/or the year it was made, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Welcome! The model you describe is a .32 Hand Ejector, and (I don't have my SN reference handy but) I believe the SN puts the ship date sometime in the mid-1950s. After 1957 it was called a model 30. If you are able to post photos that would help confirm the ID, and besides that we really like photos . Hope this is helpful.

Welcome to the Forum. Your revolver could be one of two models. You either have a .32 Hand Ejector (Pre Model 30), or a .32 Regulation Police (Pre-Model 31). That serial number would have shipped around the mid-1950s. The 32 HE is a round butt design and the 32 RP is a square butt revolver.

Welcome to the forum.

These are fun to shoot and inherently accurate chambered in the .32 S&W Long cartridge. Enjoy!

I agree with the above posts. You have a .32 Hand Ejector (due to 2" barrel and rd butt) Model of 1953 NEW I frame. Other serial numbers near yours shipped in the 2nd quarter of 1956.

It would look like this with ramp front sight, barrel rib and second style flat latch. It could have a 3 or 4 screw sideplate including the screw hidden by the right grip.

Thanks everyone! The picture that was posted looks exactly like mine, though mine is blued. I had done some research and come to the conclusion it may have been a Model 30, and I was kind of correct. But, at any rate, I know for sure now, and thanks again!
