The early FBI era created a few celebrity lawmen, of which Jelly Bryce may have been the best of them all in an actual gunfight (and that's saying something).
I found this on the web: "His personal favorite was a Smith and Wesson .44 caliber revolver. It sported a pearl handled grip, embossed with a black cat and the number 13, which proved unlucky for criminals. Bryce, however, affectionately called the pistol “Lucky”.
This was the gun he likely used in his gunfights prior to the advent of the 357 magnum. Bryce was known to have obtained a 3.5" RM early in production and used it in his TIME interview in 1944.
So, I'm wondering what his "Lucky 44" was? A Triple Lock? Wolf & Klar perhaps? Wonder where it is today?
