Default Value of a mid 40's sight screwdriver

I have this adjustable sight screwdriver from a mid 40's K22 that I used to own. I am trying to figure out it approximate value for a possible sale. It is in mint condition. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Another problem is that fake SATs do exit. If you can absolutely guarantee that yours is original, that is a plus for value.

Indeed, I'd say $100 is a fair price for buyer and seller.

The accepted period for that style is 1947 to 1958.

Look here for pix of genuine examples vs. fakes:

Default An actual "mid 40s SAT"

FWIW, here is what a "mid 40s SAT (screwdriver)" actually looks like. This is the scarce nickel plated steel SAT. It was first found with the K22 2nd model (K22/40) revolvers. It is essentially a pre war (small SAT) enlarged for the then new micrometer rear sight screws. As others have said, the all blued knurled versions are found from approx 1948 to 1958, +/- a year or two.

With the prices quoted in this thread, I am on my way to an early retirement! Even the hollow ground fluted SATs commonly bring $20+ now. However, the pre war SAT still eludes me

I was reading this thread with interest. It wasn't until I followed the link several posts early that described the various SATs. WELL, I've had the pictured tool in my desk drawer since childhood (50 years) for the express purpose of tightening the screws in my glasses. Could this be a 1925-1936 4th Model single Shot target SAT – how interesting if it is.

That's a fairly common tool usually referred to as a 'precision' or jeweller's screwdriver.... They can be bought nealy anywhere.

I don't own any, but SAT's are cool!

Not quite retirement money, but cool nonetheless.

I have found the medium blade on a Leatherman fits all my S&W windage screws very precisely, albeit with slightly less panache.

That is sort of what the straight line SAT looks like, but I would have no idea as to whether the one pictured is genuine or not, or even how to tell. And identical, or at least very similar, screwdrivers are available everywhere. I must have 5 or 6 sets around the house, usually 5 drivers of different sizes in a crummy plastic case for $1 at Dollar Tree or 99 Cent stores. I also have a much larger set with various types and sizes of tips (hex, Torq, Philips, blade, cross, etc.) in a fancy compartmented hinged-lid wooden case, but the tool design is still the same.

I'll put it back in the drawer. Doesn't appear there will be a bidding war over it anytime soon. This is certainly a good forum, full of good people with an immense amount of good information.

The smart money is on the prices of them continuing to grow. About 15 years ago I was at a gun show. A guy had a display case with 4 of the most common fluted/hollow ground one and a sign $5. So I handed him a $20 and asked to look at them. He said which one did I want. I said "all of them". He got a puzzled look and said "do you know something I don't?" Yep, they're worth $20 each these days. I'm not paying it, but then I'm not selling either. And I've got more than just those 4.
