Default Victory model help

I have the opportunity to purchase a Victory model in 38SW. I have verified that it has not been modified to 38 Special and everything looks original. He is firm on the price of $400 and I'm wondering if it is worth it. Here are some pics. Is there anything else I should look at other then the typical issues..

Thanks in advance.

I'd say with no mechanical problems and all original (including grips), $400 is not bad in today's market. Recognize that as a shooter, you will have ammunition availability and cost problems, and if you plan to shoot it much, take up handloading (if you do not already handload). That SN would date it at about October-November 1942.

Will be reloading. Checked timing, cylinder movement, and barrel and was all fine. As far as I can tell all original.
