I probably would leave it alone as well, especially if it shoots well. I've seen low velocity cartridge guns shoot very well with awful pitting and even a bulge in the barrel. Hi velocity cartridges will not shoot as well with compromised barrel bores.
However, if it doesn't shoot accurately and you decide to replace the barrel, a correct barrel would not be difficult to find nor expensive on ebay and Gunbroker. And you can use any pre war I frame 32 long barrel and it will have the correct front sight.
If your gun is pre 1928 the extractor knob is the 'mushroom' style and will look like this. The barrel has a two step notch underneath for it to fit.
