Here are a couple that I've had stashed away. I apologize for the bad picture taking. I'm not great with a camera.
The first gun is a Pre War M&P snub nose shipped to Zork Hardware Co. El Paso Texas in 1935 with a period correct S.D. Myers holster. The second is a nickel Pre War snub shipped to Sutcliffe Hardware Co. Louisville KY. in 1940. The Pre War snubs are just cool!

1906 4th Model .38 Safety Hammerless
I’m not a collector, but this was my grandfather’s EDC at the cotton gin he owned. He had some farm land along side that attracted lots of varmints. Rattlesnakes to hogs this got them all. At some point I’d like to try to get it restored as much as possible. Lots of pitting 🙁

There are some beautiful Smiths here. I am more of an accumulator of formerly unloved misfit Smiths. I have to much darn fun with them out in the wild.
Heres a smith that I got a while ago. This poor girl has almost no nickel left. She shoots like a laser and is a ton of fun to shoot. She is my black powder smith.

And this poor smith. It was a cheap buy she had broken grips and the frame/grip area was twisted. The cylinder was so mangled that two chambers wouldn’t allow a cartridge to be inserted. I was going to swap the chopped barrel but my son said leave it as it’s different. She’s full of scars I think it was run over a few times. I worked on it, replaced the cylinder,bead blasted and rust blued it...added some Thai grips
# 450xx. Pretty close to the first one

These old war horses wont win any beauty contest but the history they share is awesome. Top one is a triple lock 455 mark I with bone grips and no British proof marks. the middle one is a 455 hand ejector mark II second model with British proof marks both guns cylinders have been shaved to take 45 long colt on the triple lock and 45 acp on the mark II.
The bottom gun is a 45 hand ejector Brazilian contract of 1937 . I call these my out of the country Smith's.

This .32 "lemon squeezer" looks as good as when it was shipped in 1921 -
This one from the "good old days" when every revolver was hand-fitted, hand-polished, and extra care taken with the final finish - blue or nickel. Don't expect this kind of care today...
Although this kit gun's frame was produced pre-war, it was not completed and shipped until 1951. It was one of only 25 that were processed in this way - the old ways of finishing were still extant. That's a high-polish blue; not nickel!

How about a 38 M&P, First Change shipped to San Francisco 10 months after the quake and fire, with some very special stocks. Both panels are marked HB JARVIS. I know Jarvis was a metal engraver for S&W but apparently he did some wood early on.

Well: I guess I'll make my own modest contribution here compared to some of the masterpieces posted by others. This is a S&W Hand Ejector in 32 S&W Long. It is an I frame with a 2 inch barrel. I suspect this was a bureau/night stand gun as it exhibits virtually no wear. It was built in the 1940's as near as I can tell and the serial number is 5543XX. If anyone has additional information I'd certainly appreciate it!

Let's See Some Pre-War Smiths
On the left - 95% Kansas City PD Reg Mag with 4” barrel, Baughman Quick Draw front sight on a King Ramp base, humpback hammer, original finish, and all matching serial numbers including grips.
On the right - 99+% NonReg Mag with 3.5” barrel, King Luminous Red Post front sight on a King Ramp Reflector base, King White Outline rear sight blade, humpback hammer, original finish, and all matching serial numbers including grips.

What am I doing wrong? I just went through the first twenty posts of this thread, and was only able to see the pictures posted, in four posts. #6, 12, 13, and 14. My computing skills have gone the way of my memory, so, it's probably all my fault, but, what can I do to see the pictures, that you folks post? HELP!

Are you running an ad blocker or a anti track back software? If so, turn them off. Also, turn off pop-up blocks in your browser. If you're doing anything to block advertising you'll have to turn it off because it prevents you from seeing the pictures.

Generally, with older threads, the greatest single problem is that Photobucket decided to charge money, and deleted posts through their service. That eliminated most gun pictures.
I use an ad blocker and don't see pop-ups, and I see photos here fine. This isn't to say that Wiregrass is wrong; just that his experience doesn't parallel mine.

I have an ad blocker and an anti track back app installed in Firefox. I frequently experience posts that have no evidence of pictures in them except the discussion indicates that they are there. Frequently I can turn off my anti trackback app and the pictures resolve. This is because some people are still using Photobucket which tracks back to identify anyone that looks at their pictures so they can sell that information. Other times I have to turn off my ad blocker in order to see the pictures. Just because you haven't experienced this doesn't mean that this is one reason why people can't see pictures. It's not the only reason and I'm not saying that. But if you're using these softwares, It's probably causing you some problems.

I have several M&P revolvers all of which coincidentally are 5". My latest acquisition is my oldest firearm. It's an M&P 4th change, 38 S&W Spl, SN 275xxx puts it around 1917 production. No box but it appears to have laid in someones sock drawer for 100 years.
My other is a 32-20 nickel from around 1921

It may vary with the ad blocker? I don't even know which I use. My son told me which button to click, quite awhile ago. I don't remember which he chose. But I seem to fare well.
So, Photobucket and probably other photo hosts track who views the pics so they can sell that info? Do they give that info to the photo poster, or just exploit it themselves?

I only have a few:
Triple Lock, .455 Commercial, converted to .45 Colt, British Proof Marks but no Military markings. Supposedly a scarce variation, characterized by Hondo 44 as a "Category 0"
