Default Splitz Special update

Boys, I talked fellow forum member out of set of stags for I frame I had traded him a while back. Thanks Vonn. They are now on this beauty I posted a while back. Some of you felt that the front sight was soldered on. It is machined into the bbl. I tried to capture closeups of that in the following pictures. Hondo 44 felt like it was born around 1917. Just a fun find that I wasn't looking for. Hope the machine work on the sight shows up ok. How bout them stags? Got me a real heater now. It is the only ith & Wesson I have. If you click on first pic the machine work is visible. No big deal, just kinda cool old modification with, I bet, some real stories.

A dove tail has been cut into the barrel like on a 1911.
