Default Post up your KING guns gents!

I came across my first King gun a short while back. It is a S&W Heavy Duty with a 5" barrel. King front reflector and adjustable rear sights. It has one of the nicest actions that I have ever seen. Mine came with Pointer brand stocks which were sold by the King company.

Recently, there have been quite a few of the King conversions popping up here on the forum. Post photos of yours and anything King related....let's see 'em guys

By "anything King related", do you mean even just sights on a S&W factory gun?

OK, here is my Registered Magnum with King sights. White outline U-notch rear, and it's supposed to have a red disc on the front, but the disc is broken off. If anyone is making restoration parts, I'd sure like contact info.

I still use this gun for hunting, target shooting and plinking. It is not a "safe queen".

Default King's Super Police

Does anyone have a King's Super Police to show off?

For those that don't know, the Super Police package was King's idea of the ideal fixed sighted revolver treatment.

Please feel free to share them here in the thread.

Since your taking "off brand" guns I'll put this one up. I know trigger pin is wrong, I fixed it, just need new pics, lol!

OH my, I think I'm in love.
Is the peep sight mounted in a way you could could change it for a U shaped blade?
Curious if its a regular King rear base with the peep fitting in the slot.

It just replaces the rear blade in the S&W factory sight, no modification needed. Apertures can be interchanged easily.

I've got a 38/44 OD with humpback hammer and Kings sights. Excellent action if the finish is a bit worn. Figure it shipped in 1938.

Well worn but still very shoot-able 1951 model. According to my smith this one appears to have gotten a trigger job, if not by King by someone else that knew their way around a S&W. It has a very nice double action with a very slight and easily controllable pause just before release. One of the guys at the range the other day said it was a real pleasure to shoot a revolver with that much "feel". I usually shoot single action but do find the double very easy to operate and shoot accurately.

My dream EDC would be a slicked-up Baby Chief with the King "Super Police" sight modification. I can't imagine a much more useful self defense revolver. I heard from a forum member a year or so ago who was hoping to set up tooling to do the sight mods, but nothing else yet...

This long RM shipped to King and somewhere down the line got the King Cockeyed Hammer and a King Reflector Base front sight. Someone, perhaps King also put in a trigger stop. It was my first RM, went back to the factory for a refinish at some time in its past and has one of the smoothest triggers of all my revolvers.

King guns are some of my favorites.

Two different grip stocks... one for daytime and the other for night time wear.

Richard, I've had these for sometime now... got them before I even had an "N" frame to put them on!

The "L" insert, I believe is silver and the black diamond is what looks like ebony (has a wood grain)

Here are some pics...

As nice as they look, when I got them they had one little problem.... someone drilled a hole in the bottom... I guess for a lanyard ring.

Now you see it...

And thanks to Keith Brown... now it's gone! Keith does some great work... you can barely see where the hole was.

In this pic, the grips aren't tightened down all the way. They probably still need a little sanding down on the forward area.

It is not your computer..it is PhotoBucket the online hosting site that wants $399 each user for us to continue 3rd party hosting. I have just updated my post here with forum based hosting, so you should be able to see mine.

Here is another King gun of mine. It is a Model of 1950 Military 44 (somewhat rare is it's own right) It has King's reflector sights with the red insert.

Thumbs up OH BABY, OH BABY!

You guys are making me feel like I'm chucking really bad rocks. I guess if you're gonna alter/modify a gun, that aint too shabby. NOT making it easy to leave the mancave & face the heat/humidity to work on the honeydo list.

Here's an early K22 King conversion I once owned. Neat little revolver.

Default King sighted Reg Mag

Here's my King sighted Registered Magnum. Ordered by Galveston, Texas, Police Officer Henry Milczarek (later a detective) with King red post over a reflector base front and King 112 rear.
