Default N Diamond Target Info Please

Good afternoon. I need to take advantage of the knowledge on this forum once again. I purchased some N frame stocks online and received the wrong ones. What I had paid for was some nice standard target stocks and what I received were these diamond targets. They have the football cut-out on both sides. The right cut-out does not look as good as the left, so I am thinking someone attempted to make their own modification. The right cut-out also is the only area that seems to have the finish deteriorating. Please give me your opinions on these stocks. Should I send them back and ask for the right ones or are these keepers?

From your pics, they appear to have been molested on the right panel.
The cut is a little bigger than than the correct cut on the left. Plus finish.
Not knowing what you paid, ask for the grips you bought. The discs look correct as does the stamp on the inside. Sorry.

Thanks. That was my impression as well. Too bad, because they are decent otherwise. I paid $81.

I'd try to work out a deal for those plus the ones you initially bought. Maybe the seller would take $81 for the modified diamond targets, too. They look to be worth that much, anyway, IMO.

It appears that I got lucky. The seller just called me and said he is sending me the correct grips plus $ for shipping to send the others back. I may come out this okay after all.

rbmac52, I thought about that, but I really don't care for the cut-out on the right panel. If anyone wants the seller's contact info, PM me and you can get in touch with him for this set.

Surprising that anyone would put a football cutout on the right panel. It would serve no purpose other than to satisfy someone seriously hung up on symmetry.

I was wondering the same thing. Then I realized that I like to rest my thumb in that spot. Perhaps a lefty wanted the same feel.

I am happy to report that the seller is a good man and made good on our deal. He sent me the correct stocks and money to pay for the return shipping of the defaced DT's.

Here are the correct ones. They appear to be nearly new. Does anyone know enough about wood to tell if these are GA, Walnut, etc.?

Not a wood expert but I believe they are GA.
