Any help on this baby. I think it a 1950 5 screw. But I really can't find any info on it.

Welcome to the Forum. Help us out here - what is stamped on the barrel, what is the serial number, what is the caliber. Is that a MADE IN USA stamping on the frame?? If so, your revolver was made between 1922 and 1927.

Looks like the barrel has been bobbed at the front since it has no front site. Can you measure the barrel from the face of the cylinder to the muzzle?

Definitely an M&P from 1922-27 judging by the frame stamping and extractor rod knob. What's the SN?

Those are all the markings on the gun. The number in the cylinder matches the numbers on the butt. The grips look to be real stag.

Barrel is just shy of 4". Looks to be professionally cut, still shoots quite well, once you learn to aim low enough.

SN cannot be 10273. Are you certain? Should be the same on butt, rear cylinder face, and on the flat at the bottom of the barrel. A star usually means it has been sent in at some time for factory service.

I'd say the barrel cut with no front site and a non factory reblue hurts that value significantly. Looks like the edges are rounded and trigger and hammer are blued in the first pic...
Not worthless, still a good shooter if you figure out how to aim! Enjoy it!
Just my opinion, of course. Hope this helps.
Edit....sorry, it looked blued in the first pics. It's obviously nickel in the added pics. With the hammer and trigger nickel plated I'd say it was an aftermarket refinish.

102739 would indeed put it in the 1907-08 period. It looks like a stamping on the frame, but I suppose it is just a light reflection. Is it worthless? Only from a collector perspective, as it is not original. While it's probably not worthwhile from an economic perspective, the barrel could be replaced with one having a front sight, or alternatively a competent gunsmith could make up a suitable front sight and silver-solder it to the barrel. And that should not be too expensive. Without a front sight, it's good only as a noisemaker, except at close range. I'd caution that with a gun this old, you should use nothing but standard-velocity lead bullet loads. No jacketed bullets or +P.

Looks like it was refinished in nickel?? at the Factory.
You might find a date under the left grip, like 6.32 for June, 1932.
Hammer and trigger look silvery gray to me, not blue.

I would think the stag stocks would command a substantial value, too. Anyone agree?
Of course, assuming that they are real stag.....
I would not be ashamed to be in possession of that piece!

Continues to be somewhat of a mystery. The barrel shows a 1914 patent date, but a 1907 ship date according to the serial number. Does it have a MADE IN USA stamp on the right side of the frame? Apparently, it went back to the factory in April, 1925 and received a new barrel, but the barrel was cut after the factory return date. Nickel would have been post-factory repair as well, since the barrel looks nickel including the cut and re-crowning.

It's a crazy piece for sure. Local gun dealer said it was only worth $350. I was trying to trade it for a new air weight.

Trade it before the gun shop owner comes to its senses. It is just not worth that kind of money retail, let alone as trade-in value.

The circle-P mark on the barrel is the factory mark for replating, or a refinish in nickel.

If you have been offered $350 in a trade, that is a screamin deal. The stags if real might be worth $150 on the outside, the gun not that much.

If I had no particular love connection with it, I'd jump at a $350 offer. Would probably keep it if it were Grand-dad's revolver from the Great War.
