Purchases on the Smith & Wesson 'Guns for Sale or Trade' Section
I have stated previously on numerous occasions that I am NOT a big fan of buying firearms over the internet, but, having said that, where else does one really find a Triple Lock these days? Recently, I purchased one from a member of this forum, and I am greatly pleased to say the least! So, feel free to show what YOU have purchased from this site ONLY; I would like to see what other hidden gems others might have found. I tend to gravitate towards S & W antiques, so those can be posted here, although I selected this section because I am highlighting a Hand Ejector from 1896 to 1961 and also because it is a more popular section of this forum.

That looks like a very nice, righteous TL.
The thing about purchasing from this forum compared to buying on line in general, is that there's a level of honor and friendship among members. We may be strangers to each other at first, but we are a fraternity that share our passion for S&Ws. We have no other hidden objective here such as making a buck, misrepresenting anything for sale, etc.
And this particular forum has the highest standards and quality of membership than any other I'm familiar with. That's why we frequent and belong to it. I'm happy to hear you had a good experience and are pleased with the treasure you found here.

Ditto to what Jim said. I don't know of any cyber brawls and very few words even approaching harsh that have been posted here, in contrast to some doozies on other sites I frequent. I fell quite safe with any transaction that goes through this site, buying or selling, and am grateful for the opportunities afforded here.
Happy Thanksgiving to All!

I can't remember all the ones I have purchased from the forum members, but there have been several. Every transaction was pleasant. I can think of at least a 16-4, a couple of # 1 1/2's (old model) and at least one # 1 1/2 (new model), a 2nd Model Safety Hammerless 2" bicycle gun, a Regulation Police38, a 940, a 38 M&P 2" 5 screw, and I'm sure a few more over the years.
The only problem I have on the forum is somebody usually beats me to the good deals!

I have gotten a 28-2, a 36-1, a model 69, 2 I frame 32 S&W longs, and a 500 Magnum off the for sales here. Absolutely no complaints. Got exactly what what was posted and a decent deal every time. Good people here. I don't think a shyster would last long.

I've yet to purchase from this forum, but I've had good luck, with one exception, on other sites. An FEG Hi Power clone was not as described.

649-3 for me. Couldn't have been happier. Also did a couple of swaps. A model 19 for an SKS paratrooper and a 442 no lock for a Shield 9.

Bought a M25-2 Model of 1955 .45 revolver here a few years ago, and it was shipped in my direction before I could get a check to the man.
Outstanding!

My first purchase on the forum here was this past April - a 1920s era k frame - very happy with it and the transaction (thanks Joel). I am halfway through the second purchase I have made, and expect it to go well.

In last 6 months I have bought three M-19s, m-28, M-29
Mauser 80sa, Marlin 94, and Marlin 375. Not to mention holsters
grips, Ect. Have not had one bad experience with purchases,
Sellers were guys of the highest calibre. This can't be said of
any other forum that I know of.

This forum is great; I bought Baby Chiefs, 36-1 target, nickel Terrier, 36-6 target, Chiefs special semi auto, and I just forgot! Learned a heck of a lot from forum members and have had dialogue, mainly through emails. The only problem - the forum members spark my interest in many firearm themes; this has become costly!!

I stopped posting a while back, but I read here every day and learn something every day. One of my last posts was that I was going to treat myself to a pre 29 this year. A gentleman from Georgia made that happen along with encouragement from a S.C. poster. Also got a 2 inch PC 629. What I consider my best score ever from this site was getting hooked up with David Keith. He is making an extraordinary holster and gun belt for me and will even have it by Christmas. So, I'm off into oblivion again, but I'm reading, watching and learning. And yes, sometime it's what NOT to do or say.

I have purchased several firearms from this forum. Most have been excellent deals which were well handled.
I did get screwed once. The seller flat out lied about the condition. However, shortly after, that person was banned for other reasons unknown to me.
Liars and cheats don't last long around here. That's a good thing.

I have made two purchases on the GFS forum. I was pleasantly surprised with the condition of both of them. This K32 showed up better than I hoped since the pictures posted weren't exactly of the highest quality. The revolver was though.
This M53 has a few issues but the seller described them accurately and there were no surprises when it showed up.
.
I would like to thank both of these sellers for making these available here. I am tickled with both and shoot them often. The GFS forum is a daily stop for me.

I am in agreement with Jim (Hondo44).
I'm pleased with all the purchases I've made on the forum.
Period correct to this forum, I bought these grips that fit my .32 Hand Ejector very well.

As others have stated, I've also bought several from members here on the forum and have been well pleased. Great members here.

Nothing old enough to qualify for your year range, but:
17-2
27-2
N-frame grips
Colt Police Positive grips
N-frame carry holster
All excellent transactions.
