I've enjoyed looking at Smith & Wessons for so many years and brought so many home that today, it would take an extremely desirable one to make me go for my wallet.
Your .44 is one of those guns that would do it.
Congratulations. It's a beauty.

Thanks George. No money exchanged hands in the acquisition of this .44, but the other party did go home with three good handguns; I came home with this one and we were both happy. My definition of a good deal.

Very nice! Looks like a little wax would shine things right up. Enjoy!

It's as sweet as it looks, maybe a little better. I got to see it / drool over it on it's way home. I might even get to shoot it someday if I'm lucky. Congrats!

Nice snag. Glad you intend on using it for what it was made. Shoot it.
Pic of the box with her in it?

I can do that. Anyone have any good suggestions on a safe way to clean the outside of the box? It's a little musty and some light mold or something gray on it.

Doc is the best one to ask that one, but I believe a damp cloth would be a good start. Notice I said "damp" not wet. It should remove most of the surface fuzz. Not sure what preservative to use on it after that though. Others will chime in, I'm sure.
