Just found this beauty today and wanted to show it off. I picked up a .32 Hand Ejector, which SCSW says is a model of 1903 5th change. Serial number is 205xxx, which as best as I can pin down with the information in the SCSW, puts it at about 1915 production or so. This one is a nickel finish with the 3 1/4" barrel. The finish is original as far as I can tell because the ejector star, and ejector rod head are blued. The hammer and trigger are still case-colored. The serial numbers all match on the cylinder, yoke, barrel flat, and butt. The chambers and bore are very good and mechanically, she functions perfectly, not bad for 100 years old! There are just a couple of rough spots in the finish here and there. As an added bonus, the stocks are numbered to the gun, but interestingly, the serial number is not scratched in, it is stamped on the inside of the right grip panel, in the same font as the serial number on the butt. Best of all, I snagged this beauty for $150! I test fired it with Fiocchi 100 grain wadcutters and got two Xs at 25 yards! Here's the obligatory pics:
As some of you may know from my past posts, I am a bit of a .32 freak and can't stop myself with these things. I'll buy up anything in .32 S&W Long at a reasonable price! As a result, I completed a family photo with all three production barrel lengths of the .32 Hand Ejector model of 1903 with the round butt. I was missing the 3 1/4" in a round butt until today. Although I have a 1921 .32 Regulation Police in the 3 1/4" length, it didn't match with it's square butt stocks!
