Default Heirloom .38 ID?

This is one of a couple of old S&W revolvers I got from my father. Any information would be appreciated.

It is a 6-shot revolver, blued, with a 5 inch barrel. The right side of the barrel is stamped "38 S&W SPECIAL CTG", with "SMITH & WESSON" on the left side. It has what I believe to be the original diamond-pattern wood grips. The SN is imprinted on the bottom of the grip. It's hard to read, but I believe it says 3141XX. There is only a production number inside the yoke.

It is a .38 Military & Police Square Butt revolver from about mid-year, 1919. #316648 was produced in September, 1919, and was the first to get the heat treated cylinder.
The stocks are correct, the barrel is 5" long and the finish appears to be original.
I would put the current price in the $400-$500 range.
Nice revolver.
