Default My 1917 Brazilian contract

Here's one of my S&W. It's a 1917 brazilian contract, in 45 ACP.

Nice straight shooter, in relatively good shape for a 75 year old tropical warhorse!

Those was made for brazilian army before WW2, they were regular 45ACP S&W 1917 as those US army one's, blued instead of parkerized. Some like mine had commercial grip.

Welcome to the forum.

Your is from the 1937 contract, not the 1946 contract because if the grips are number matching therefore original to your gun, they are the civilian 1930s vintage used on the first contract guns.
