Pre 19 Nickle Combat Magnum
Hi all. I just wanted to share one. I also wanted to say thanks to Bud Jr for passing this to me. I am happy to add this to my collection of 19's. And it also came with a factory letter!!! Thanks again Bud Jr! One of these days i will figure out how to post pictures right. Side up.

Take pictures of the gun upside down. That should solve your problem! That's a nice one!

Factory letter
Here is a pic of the document. Thanks for letting me share this gentleman.
My wife does not understand my excitement. She just thinks it's pretty. It did not come with the grips. I had to take them off of a 19-4 that I had put them on. It came with smooth presentation grips. I just like diamond targets plain n simple. Now the hunt is on for a correct box for this one. It might take a while but it took me 14 months to find the gun. And lord willing a 19-1 4" nickel is in the future.

19s are great guns and pre-19s are even better! Congrats on a nice find. Finding the box will make it even sweeter.

Thanks guys. Tens a good number. Sorry I am so droid challenged. I am tickled pink with it. If I am correct it faits within the first 5000. It kinda surprised me to get it. It just worked out. I apologize moose for the neck ache but I do not accept responsibility. I can't afford the lawsuit. All my funds have gone towards buying Smith & Wessons. Hopes no 10 thanks for the assistance. She is not perfect ( neither am I) but I like her. A few scratches but not to many. I wonder how many more like her are out there? I will say that after I paid for her I was very glad to find out it was from a forum member. That gave me peace of mind. You can read posts from a great group of guys that go way back. I have learned alot on this forum and still have much to learn. Thanks again. When I get a little more time i will post a picture of my other Pre 19 blued on the forum beside her. Hopefully I can get it to come out correctly.

Good luck on the box. I've been collecting boxes as long as the guns and I can't recall ever seeing a pre 19 box for a nickel gun. I have two Combat Magnum boxes, but they are both for blue guns. If I do see a nickel box, I know where to send it.

Here's mine with matching serial box...I like how they just glued in a piece of paper with 'nickel' on it to cover up the 'blued' that was printed on the label...
So far, this is the only one with matching serial box that has popped up.

Rub it in Mike! Great Pre 19 complete package. You know I had not noticed any posts on the one I bought until I saw it up for auction. As I stated above I sure was glad to hear it came from a forum member. It makes me wonder how many more of them are not shown but owned by our fellow forum members. Yours and 4- Screws are 2 of the nicest I have seen and both you guys definetly have something to be proud of. As to the box search , all I can do is keep my eyes open. Thanks Gun Club Fan for keeping a eye out as well. You never know. I might get lucky twice. I hope to get time to post pictures tommorow of the pair.

Glad you are happy. Enjoy. Sounds like a blue box would work nicely.
