Having some fun on a bad weather day
It's very cool and rainy today so I thought I'd have some fun with my scale model Registered Magnums made by the late Raymond Hutchens.

Incredible specimens. I love the shot of the so-called 3-1/2" one next to the Ladysmith - really brings it home how small and perfect it is. I remember when you brought those to the Southwest Bunch get together in Tulsa a while back. Please feel free to bring them again!

Those are pretty cool! If it weren't for the Ladysmith or the watch to compare them to I'd think they were the real deal. Do they actually fire? And what caliber?

Bruner, Mr. Hutchens made the primed and head stamped cartridges for each of these revolvers. Supposedly they have powder in them and can be fired. I'm not going to do that for obvious reasons. The 3 1/2" is 2/3 scale and the ammo is about 28 caliber. The long barrel is 1/2 scale and about 19 caliber.

Wow, super nice and unusual. I bet it would be tough to find
ammo for those baby's.

I hope I'm not mistaking but those two miniatures seem to be familiar, I'll ask if they were in Columbus, Ohio during our symposium? I remember admiring them as well as a lever action miniature while there.
My appreciation for the skill required to produce the original normal sizes is tremendous but these are even more demanding to produce. Sure is nice to see these great works of art which were done by the craftsmen who took great pride in their work. It would be nice to see them on display once more in Baton Rouge!

I surely did have them at the symposium in Columbus. I don't think I had the take down Winchester at Columbus, but I've had it at Tulsa, and the OGCA at Wilmington and Cleveland.

Back in the 80's we went to Washington DC, and when visiting the Smithsonian I found a large display of miniature firearms. I was fascinated, and my wife had to drag me out of that room.

This is what I did on a ****** weekend. I took a beautiful "defunct" humidor and turned it into a pistol box to have a place to put my EDC when I get it. The lining is black velvet, but appears blue in some photos. I think I may change the interior to blue now.
