Default One more for a good week

I bought this with the 27-1. Love the way it shoots.
Wonder if it can handle +P ammo?

Don't under any circumstances use +P ammunition . It will turn that revolver into a hand grenade. At least I've heard so.

S 844071 would have shipped around October 1946, give or take a month. Postwar S-series M&P snubbies are very nice to find, especially in that condition

Thank you for the date. I don't think I even have any +P around here so the old girl should be safe:-)

Like others who have already posted, I too love those long-action postwar two-inch M&Ps. And that's a fine one.

There is an old S&W advertisement that has circulated on this forum in the past. While there is no date the gun advertised is a .38 Special M&P long action round butt with a 2" barrel. The advertisement clearly states that it is perfectly safe to shoot S&W 38/44 ammo rated at 1125 fps in the K-frame M&P. At the time of this advert. Major DB Wesson was the VP of S&W.

Current +P comes no where near 1125 fps!
