Will ear plugs and muffs be sufficient?
I may send off for a factor letter on this one. It is such a odd thing to find in western North Carolina.

I doubt very seriously that you will find 22 jet at Walmart. Factory jet ammo is really stout, there could be a chance the barrel is shot out, the blast shield looks like it has seen a lot of ammo.

I own one and the are a hoot to shoot. Barely any recoil but they are loud. Not .44 magnum loud. With them it's more like a boom. With the Jet it's a supersonic crack. More like a rifle than a hand gun. Did I mention they are LOUD.

I won't shoot my Jet in an indoors range regardless of hearing protection.
Nice score, the 4 inchers are uncommon.

I think your in for a long wait as far as .22 Remington Jet ammo is concerned. It was discontinued years ago. If you can find a factory box it will cost you upwards of $75.00.

SG Ammo has it for $26 for 50. I tried it in my Jet with good results.

I have some ammo ordered. I have located four boxes of the old Remington ammo, and it is $75.00 per box. The barrel is good on this gun.

Wow - factory ammo and readily available! I know it's Prvi Partizan and not Remington but hey, beats shooting up collector boxes.

*Edit* - I ordered a case of 500.

Neat guns, I keep envisioning a 4" Model 53 fit with a Model 19 barrel and a Model 547 cylinder ,
end result being a 4" Model 547 , 9mm Target .

Just got this yesterday. When's the last time anyone saw a case of .22 Jet ammo?

Nice gun, and nice to know that the ammo is available.
I lucked into a nice 6" 53 package a few years ago -- box, second cylinder, inserts. I added a loose 8-3/8" barrel later on, as well as some extra inserts, but I'm still looking for a separate 4" tube.
There is just something about this model.

My first M-53 was a 4 incher. It had been stored on something wet and the right side had rusted and pitted. Someone attempted to clean it up and reblued it but the pitting was too severe to undo. Chambers and bore were fine and it shot well but it's ugliness bothered me. When I found a nice 6 incher, I sold the 4.
I'm glad to see new ammo for it. I'd hate to see them all put to bed because of nothing to shoot.
I hope someone will give us a report on how the Privi Partisan shoots.
