Default New Set of Mystery Stocks

The stocks came off of a '54 vintage K38. They seem to be very well made with nice sharp checkering.

They have a diamond around the escutcheons but no palm swell.

There is some wood missing from the bottom but it looks as if it could be repaired.

Any and all opinions are welcome concerning maker and value.

No, the checkering isn't sharp enough or even enough.

They look like a set of home made stocks to me, maybe someone learning how to check.

Defiantly home made. There was a lot of talent back then.
