my one and only pinto was a model 57 long tube. It was a beautiful gun, as stunning as your pre 27. Great find. Hope you have better luck holding on to yours.

There's something about non-relieved rosewood targets... they just make a mismatched gun look great!

I very much like that gun - remind me, is is a 44spl?
I will also add that a little carving on the rosewood grips and a touch of ivory also "saddles" a pinto very nicely...
BTW - how does one sign up for the "Pinto Owners Club" and where does one apply for a card???

You should mention those front sights a bit on yours.

I have a picture but need to get authorized to share.

Have you Googled the Adalph Bliach Co? I did! Seems to be a very well known knife and blade maker from 1893 to ?

Lots of interesting guns went to Adolph Blaich Co back in the day....including 5 satin nickel Highway Patrolmen. I'd love to locate one of those 5.

I can remember back in the mid 60's, I saw a whole table of the blue and nickle S&W's. There must have been 50 of them. I haven't seen one in fifty years, I always wondered what happened to them. I thought some were blue frame and some were nickle frame, can't remember.

[QUOTE=Leatherhead23;139145502]Thanks to a good friend, I have joined the POC....... Pinto Owners Club.
I'll let the pictures do the talking....she doesn't fit in my current light box so please excuse the cardboard.
Thanks for letting this giddy fella share!
Absolutely gorgeous! That long nickel barrel and the smooth rosewood grips really make it "stand out from the crowd".
