Default Nickel Baby Chiefs

I am missing one - Baby Chief Nickel with the half moon front sight. These will have to do for now, both lettered NICKEL Baby Chiefs, one with a smooth ramp front sight and the other with serrated front sight. The smooth ramp was shipped in June 1952 and the serrated ramp Baby Chief was shipped in October 1953.

Nice BC's! They have become my favorite collectible S&W's since I got my first one, a nickel. I have since added a second, a very worn blue one. I think the attraction for me is that they can be found in gun shops listed listed as "pre chiefs" and priced as such. That's how both of mine were listed. One of the few collectibles that can still be found at a reasonable price.

I'm a pretty hard core N frame kinda guy... but the first opportunity I had, a Baby Chief joined the family. There's just something about them... (I've shown this one before but couldn't resist the opportunity)
