Correct grips for a 3.5 pre-27C
Can someone tell me if the period correct magna grips for a 3.5 pre-27 made in 1953\54 would be the sharp shouldered ones or the smooth, Non sharp shoulder ones....Thanks in advance..........................................M*

I believe this would have had the rounded shoulder type, but someone who owns an original example will let you know for certain.

This ".357" Magnum was shipped in October 1953. The stocks are numbered to the revolver. click on the photo for a better look.

Target stocks were also factory equipment, and the early 50's were the non-relieved targets. These are from 9/53.

The stocks on mine are the sharp shoulder style; compare to Doc44s pic.

The stocks are "rounded", not sharp shoulder.

.....So by the photos I assume the correct style on mine made in 1953\54 should be the smooth more rounded ones. also heard there was also an overlap in styles. I have both kind but didn't know which style should be correct....Thanks gentlemen.....................M*

I have one from 1954-55 with sharp shoulder magnas, which are original to the gun.

Mine shipped January 1955 per Roy, S125xxx and has more rounded shoulders, although the left is a little rounder than the right. They are numbered to the gun.
