Looks like a 5 screw K22 Combat Masterpiece. A desirable model.

Bruce

Welcome to the Forum. That Combat Masterpiece would date to 1953. Looks like everything is as it should be, so you have a nice original K frame short barrel K22.

22 Combat Masterpiece circa 1953-54.
Hard to appraise from fuzzy pics, but probably $550-650

The posters above identified your revolver. I have one a couple of years newer. It's a joy to shoot. BTW, the serial number is the one on the butt of the grip frame. The numbers in the yoke are simply assembly numbers. Your K-22 became the Model 18 about 1958. A K-22 with a six inch barrel became the Model 17. Model numbers were stamped in the yoke starting at that time (along with the assembly numbers). Enjoy.

K210xxx would most probably have shipped around late 1953 to early 1954. You did not mention as to whether it has its original box, which would add considerable value. I'd agree on its being worth +/- $600 at retail - but you wouldn't get nearly that much if you attempted to sell it to a gun store.

Pictures are kind of fuzzy, but it looks like a nice one.
If it were my grandfather's gun I'd want to keep it in the family and shoot it a lot. It should be a fine shooter. But it's your gun, of course.

Probably, especially those in high cosmetic condition. Combat Masterpieces have a pretty good collector following.

The number inside the yoke is meaningless. You own a very nice K frame .22. If it had been my grandpas I would cherish it , shoot it - and keep it forever.
Side story - I own a Stevens m87M , a .22 rifle which has a bulked up fore end like a M1 Garand. It is from the 40's ; it was my father's squirrel gun. Worth $350 maybe? A collector offered me $1,000 or trade for 2 revolvers I was quite keen on for the rifle a while back. I turned him down. When he asked me why I replied "Well , if I accepted your offer I would have 2 nice Smith & Wesson revolvers , but I would not have my father's squirrel rifle."
